Ok so Im at the DMV, bout to get the bike registered, they take the mso into the back and say ur stuck with them and they cannot be registerd in nc because Kikker is not authorized to sell in Nc. They said that they used to register them and the DMV revoked the titles in the past.. So now what? Is thus true? Or can I take them to another state? I'm stuck

Thought of that, and asked the officer if I register in another state and get a title, can I bring it back to nc. He said no.. that makes no sence to me. Gotta be a way to do this in nc

Go to another DMV. Register as a Special Construction, Not Kikker... keep going to different DMV's till you find one that works.

Yep, yep and yep
And if you have to go out of state, do like Phil said, reg as a special construction, then when you transfer they will have no clue that it is a Kikker, well unless you tell them!

A lot of states do not reconize Kikker and are recalling tags and titles. Only problem in licenseing in another state is some states require a inspection of out of state vehicles and you will be right back where you started. I feel for you. Good luck in your adventure.

thats what im thinking.. there is only one place to go to here, and thats the dmv where they inspect the bike to give you the paper work to take to the dmv at a diff location to get a title..i need to talk to kikker and see what they have to say..when they open.

DO NOT start with DMV, go to the inspection and theft office in your county. You will need a bill of sale with frame and engine serial #. You may also need to buy an edemnity bond, mine cost 100 bones, from your local insurance agent. BE NICE to the inspection officer, he will make or break you

Well I guess your stuck then It can be done in NC, Ive had tags since May 2009, I didnt have a mso, and went with special constuction. NC did pull every bike tag with Kikker as MFG Theres more than one way to skin a cat

what other proof can i show for ownership? the invoice? still says kikker..holy moly. what a headach
