Wow.... that is a good one.

I think you have to comply to the Euro standards which have to have a running / brake light dead center on the back fender (that's easy, toss on a Sparto taillight.) and I think you may have noise requirements.

Until an Aussie Knocker speaks up, my advice would be to go to your Department of Motor Vehicles (assuming it's called that in Australia) and get a list of their requirements for home made bikes.

Somebody at a local bike shop might be helpful and give you a heads up on it.

As far as registration... I live in the States, I'm not even going to pretend to know... There's got to be somebody around where you live that has a chopper shop or has a registered bobber / chooper over there that you can ask. Just keep an eye out for somebody who is on an obviously custom bike and see if they'll be helpful.

Good luck man, keep us posted! I imagine a few of us would like to know and any Aussie that wants a Knock in the future will NEED to know.

Hi Mattrat, I'm in Melbourne and I'm thinking about getting one shipped over. I to would like to hear from anyone who has registered here. I'll keep an eye on the thread to see if any information comes on sight. I will certainly pass on any thing that I come across

Hey fellas,
Haven't loged on for a while but here's the low down on compliance in Australia. These bikes will not meet any of our compliancing requiremnts in any way, at least not as they are delivered from the USA. You can import one without issue but you will be unable to register it. I've had a few people ring me telling me they have imported a bike and put it together, then taken it to an engineer and thats as far as they got. Vehicles such as this need to be registered as an Indiviualy Constructed Vehicle (ICV) at the moment due to internal Road Athority issues you will be hard pressed to get an engineer in Australia to even look at an ICV motorcycle. These are great bikes no doubt and a whole lotta fun, thats why I'm doing my utmost to get these bikes complianced. So shoot me an email at eddie@disturbedcustomcycles.com.au or give me a call on 0421126966 and I will discuss these issues in more detail and keep you posted as new info comes in.
Thanks
Eddie

i would love to know if anyone has any luck registering these. i'm in NSW which is probably the hardest state to do it. I thought Victoria or Queensland would be much easier.
