Ok Il has two different plates the "L" is for under 150cc,"M" is for 150cc and higher. It's basically the same as getting a license L or M.Other difference is that under 150cc your only allowed to ride it at daylight.(just like scooters)150cc and higher need to have a motorcycle license and is allowed on the freeway.State trooper from my unit investigated that to his surprise. So when you get your knocker make sure you fill out the right paper work for them if not the state WILL take them back.

Just think it might be a little over priced considering I could by new... does anyone have any advice??

i dare say the engines aren't epa approved.. since it just has a dump tube.. My enfield had crap strapped on to it Like mike 68 amx,, air tubes in the exhaust.. thank you California.. everything has been removed on the RE and it runs better..

when I attempted to live in LA CA,, many years ago I got pulled over.. imagine that.. KY plates ..black car.. white racing stripes..
had to go get it checked out.. the guy said son you are illegal from the air cleaner down.. I said stick that exhaust anilizer to the pipe.. I'm cleaner than those 2 stroke leaf blowers your clean up people are so proud of.. he said doesn't matter if your engine runs cleaner than the requirements,, you can't change anything.. wonderful... so I left and moved to Houston, TX and they wouldn't pass me there until I took my quartz halogen lights out and put in inferior sealed beam..

Knock on Illinois Knockers..

The funny thing about illinois is that N.Illinois and S. Illinois are like two different states that occupy the same space. most of the money goes north to fund the crooks who run the state. (RYAN, AND BLAGOIAVICH) Shit even the Now P.O.S. Obama was in on it. Tax's and such are WAY HIGHER there than down here, and we can't even get a gun concealment law passed here because of all the crime thats reported there. Those of you who are from Illinois know that certain places north of here in & around Chicago YOU DO NOT GO IN> Shit, certain places the cops wont touch (Cabreenie Green ) for instance. I guess all states have good and bad in them. Look @ california
