Went to get my VIN for my bike today and the CSP jagoff informed me that Kikker does not comply w/ the nhtsb or something and that he has a specific document that says that they are not to give these bikes VINs or allow them to be registered in CO. He said that they are going to go back and revoke the "illegal" titles that have been issued in CO. It sucks, I have been following the rules and doing it all right and now comes a fist in my ass. Super frustrated and gonna start drinkin already, its 10 am may go get some nicotine too haven't had a dip in a long time. Just super frustrating and sad for me.

That sucks. Have you given it a shot by trying to title as homebuilt or custom built? I think the designation as Kikker flags it as a pocket bike and they don't realize what your trying to lic.

I'm Denver, I tried going at it as a homebuilt, but when I turned in the MSO and all that stuff the paperwork that came back with it said motorcycle kit. I am terrible at being sneaky and overly honest so I am pretty certain I am proper fukt!

Can you register the bike in a different state and then re-register in CO? I think all you would need is for someone to let you use their address for title purposes.

That might be possible, I didn't think about that, and that is why I love the hardknock nation. Always full of ideas. So after it's titled in a Wyo then it is easy to switch it to CO or would I have to keep it with Wyo plates?

I think it would all depend on what the title from WYO states. It would hinge on if it is titled as a Kikker or a home built. If it said home built, it would not flag as off road, just as a owner built bike. Not sure what makes these bikes any different than say a home built Harley clone, which has no issues being titled.
