Just spoke to the vin inspector here in CO and the knock has to have a muffler on it or he won't even look at it. Anyone put on a muffler or know of one that will work on the knock?
Thanks for all your help

Kikker used to have the straight pipe with a muffler inside. Call them, or your dealer and see if they can get you one.

I slipped a aftermarket baffle and a tailpipe extension in mine. Runs as good as stock. Look at JC whitney under pipe extentions.

I had to do the same for inspection in Wisconsin. I put a slash cut at the end of the turnout straight pipe and installed a 4" x 1.5" mini baffle from JP Cycles. Sounds pretty good and is legal for inspection.

I used a vw baffled tail pipe [chrome] and made a sleeve for the end so it would slide into stock pipe. You can tap it in as far as you want to. Also can be removed if needed. It changed the sound just a little. They are about 9 bucks at O Rieley auto parts. I hope I have been some help. Greggster
