Hey Guys,
I checked under search and didn't find anything on this. When installing the script STOP light and plate frame bracket, do you need to force open the fork in the new fender bracket so it will go over both the bracket and the frame of the bike? I figured I'd take a picture and ask advice before I bust something. Usually I do it the other way around

Thanks for getting back to me Mick. Do you mean that the axle needs some washers so that the bracket will be upright and not cocked to the left? Will I have enough thread left to put the nut on the other end of the axle?

The axle holds the bracket on up against the frame the the fender bracket is bolted to the plate bracket with washers between them. That will keep the plate bracket straight

Mick, I see your suggestion working if I put the bracket up against the chain tensioner and not the frame. Then I would need some washers to place between the top bracket hole and fender brace so the bracket is straight up and down. Is this correct?

If you mount your plate bracket with a frame clamp it won't be in your way when you work on your axle and wheel. Plate and light would be a little higher and visible from both sides of your bike ( some states require that).

Yes you're right, next to the tensioner not on the frame, sorry I said it wrong. The plate bracket should have a long bolt and washers to replace the stock bolt for the fender brace

Looks great!! Did you just put a frame over the vertical license bracket and drill a hole on the bracket to mount it?

Thanks. I drilled a hole in the bracket and put the frame over it.
