cant remember where i got these from but heres the dimensions for the Lifan 250 motor. Length-20.25" Width-14.25" Height-17.75". that outta give you all the ammo you need to consider your options outside of that glorified chinese lawnmower engine. yeah, i know, thats gonna piss a SHITLOAD of people off especially from a "newbie". but this "newbie" has over 25 years of riding experience, most of it on the mean streets of Atlanta freeways. "newbie" to hardknock but no damned "newbie".

A Newbie is a Newbie is a Newbie is a Newbie. Allot of us here have more than 40 years riding experience, But very proud to be a Newbie Knocker until we become a 5150, then of course HardKnocker and then Double HardKnocker, Then Hardcore HardKnocker, Then Double HardCore HardKnocker. We are the Nation, Hear us Knock.

You never get a second chance to make a first impression. You just screwed the pooch. Honestly, I wish you the best, just not on this forum.

yeah, i kinda saw that coming. im not a shit-stirrer and i respect the hiarchy of the knock nation but if it offends by me pointing out that those lifan motors are overpriced pieces of shit than so be it. my uncles got a chinese ww2 bmw sidecar imitatation made by chang jange or some shit. piece of shit. its got about 100 miles on it and hes spent over a grand trying to have it fixed. nobody even knows what the hell it is let alone how to work on it. this is where i stand: the knock is the best thing ive seen come down the turnpike in a long time. abosloutly GREAT idea. i just dont see why just because kelly decided lifan was the way to go for the knock everybody got mentally handcuffed to lifan. i just think those little baby motors are the achilles heel of the knock. now comes the 250 heavier than the 200 with the same horsepower and everyone gets excited because it sorta looks like a "real" v-twin. 17 horsepower for 800 bucks. i cant figure it out. so anyway, if i "screwed the pooch" by speaking truth than i hate it. if i was in this world to be in a popularity contest i would've had a hard time. truth ALWAYS pisses people off. its human nature. i wasnt knocking the knock, i was pointing out that the 250 frame gives you options to put a more deserving motor in it. if its herasy so be it. go get lifan tattooed on your arm.

i dont get it guys. kelly designed the knock to be affordable and cool and he achieved his goal and won many fans in the process. im sure the lifan was chosen originally for pricepoint to keep the knock obtainable for those who cant afford a harley or triumph bob. i dont understand why its taken so offensivly for me to point out that there are better options. im not slamming knocks or the knock nation and im not even second-guessing the original intent of using the lifan motors. im just saying if you can kick it up a notch and make your knock even cooler why wouldnt you? im not trying to alienate people or kick up shit on this site. i cant wait until the 250 come out. ive got my cash in hand and i will be riding one this summer. you guys are forgetting one thing. the motorcycle is the #1 post-industrial revolution method of rebellion. i said bad things about lifan and rebelled against the rebels. ya gotta at least give me points on that. it takes balls to say unpopular things but if every time someone says something you dont agree with you shout them down you might be missing out on thinking about someting in a different and better light.

If you and Uncle Dad can't get that running you don't stand a chance with a knock.
