OK so I bought this handle bar switch and I am having to reverse engineer the thing to figure out how to wire it to my existing bike and do away with the stock switch. I have the turn signal figured out and the horn, but the head lights have like 6 different settings on this thing. I think two of the 6 settings mean "off" (the circles 4 and 5? meaning open circuit maybe???) I know one has to mean bright lights (1 or 6 maybe???). Any help on what you think 1 thru 6 settings are would be awesome. Thanks for any help...

I suggest you use an ohm meter and determine which connections make contact when pressed.

What I am asking is, look at the picture, what do you think each of the little pictures on the switch mean? I know I am going to have to just do wire testing, but I want ot be sure I have the right wire on the correct switch location and I wont know if I dont know what each of the settings on the switch mean. So what I am asking is, look at the picture and tell me what you think each of the settings mean 1 thru 6. I believe two of them mean off, and one of them means brights, but I am not sure about the other three or if I am even right about any of them...

You may want to re-take that pic. It is badly out of focus.

correct I did, my camera on my blackberry SUCKS

and I wish I was a Penthouse photograper. I probably would have vaseline on the lens if I was, lol.

BTW in case you didnt know, if you click on the picture, it will come up larger in a different window which is easier to view the numbers I included with the switch settings. but I am sure you all already know this...

I would say only hook up 3,4,5

2 - high beam
3 - low beam
4 - off.

Screw the rest.

well there is only 4 wires going to that 1-6 mess you see in the picture anyway. And one of the wires is a ground. so only 3 wires...

I was just trying to guess what the little pictures meant on the switch, so when I did start wiring it, i wanted to know when i had it configured correctly...

Rick, the double lines (beam) indicate flash. I've got this fuction on a switch I have also. See the lever for it? you push with your forefinger, and it's spring loaded so it flashes. You are correct on 6. It is low beam ( beam light angled down)
