Front brake lever engages the brakes, but not the brake light.

Went through all the wiring and put an ohm meter to the brake lever.. no joke, when you grab the lever theres no change at all.. no wonder the brake light doesnt come on..

no wonder i had to push the bitch home cause the fuckin bike wont start without the brakes..

That sucks. Bad switch I assume. I'd be bypassing that for my starter circuit, screw that crap.

Bike will start with either foot brake of hand brake. Thats just a micros switch in the brake handle you might be able to just replace it ?

i'll be ripping the brake apart.. see if it is the switch.. so annoying. brake light blew.. and the starter selonoid clicks but doesnt start the starter..

i hav power to the plug from harness but not on lite half ? ck it ! electricity is like water , it flows ? start @ the begining and trace to the opposite end ! i've found faulty wire crimps in some connectors !

brake cable switch was fucked. i need a new one.

where is the brake cable switch located? im having issues with mine and cant figure it out. the brake light wont come on when the brakes are pressed (front or rear) and the running light stays on when the bikes not running (running light not brake light). Also bike started without engaging the brake. i dont have any fancy startup bypass configured so im not sure why its doing all that...

unplug your front brake from the electrical junction under the tank.. that'll tell you real quick if its the front switch like mine was.. but i just yanked mine out completely.. now my front brake lever stops the bike, but only the rear brake pedal enacts the light.

less shit on bike = less shit that'll break.

skarecrow i took your suggestion, so i unplugged the front brake from the electrical junction under the tank and i can't get the bike to turn over or do anything. its like the battery is dead, no power. then I plugged it back in and it will crank.
so then i unplug the rear brake junction and the bike "will" crank.

so what next...??? I am still not sure what this is suposed to show me.

To avoid that pesky problem on my 200 I did a mod that i posted in the tech section 200starter mod

but why isnt the brake light coming on when the brakes are applied is my question??? you mod doesnt answer that question. I would like to reslove the origanal issue before I go in another direction with a mod. if I can get the original issue resolved I might try your mod next.

btw read the mod post you made, great instructions...

what did you do with the other end of that cut yellow / green wire, just tape it off and shove it back in the can, it doesnt need to go any where?

The cut wire just tape it off and your done. Its the wire that goes to the brake light so that you have to hold the brake to complete the circuit. What you are doing is going to the blk/wht wire for power. I'm not sure what your exact problem is Td, so please P/M me and we'll try to figure it out ok?
