nice job fella! I started building mine this weekend and yours is an inspiration. I've got flat black with red rims too, and white walls but I can't have them over here in the UK, so unless I paint my replacement tyres my wheels along with the rest of the bike will now look just like yours! Good job on it as it looks really good. Love your mirrors, and again they're an inspration as I have to have 2 mirrors too so i may follow your lead.
I'm stumbling at the wiring part right now, skipped forward slightly on the mechanical build whilst I try to figure out what to many are probably fairly straightforward but have stumped me. Took me a day to figure what the starter was!! ...and now, what's the relay?? Never thought i'd ever say it but I need more pictures as some of the descriptions flummox me!! Enjoy the ride...

thanks guy.

britishbobber - go for it. I'm glad you like the look and thanks for the compliment. Definitely post pictures when you are done.

don't worry - as the name suggests, I'm a noob at this stuff. Had no mechanical experience at all - but people on this forum get in line to help others, which is awesome.

I really like it! I'll be posting picks of mine possibly later this week when I'm officially done with making it street legal. Great job.

I'm in New York.

what's the plan for gettin' it legal? does ny have any particular issues that require mods?

congrats on a clean build.

Heard NY is a pain. Contact your local custom bike builder and see if you can pick there brain or try and use a titling service.

Yeah, I'm thinking about that right now. I've done quite a bit of research on this and it appears the best way is to get it registered as a custom build.

Mods required include:
- all dot approved lighting (front, rear, turn signals)
- seat has to be 25 inches above the ground (bike stock is approx 23 inches)
- tail light and license plate has to be centered at the rear of the bike

From what I've read on the thread, it appears that NY is indeed pretty difficult to get titled - but hey, you never know until you get it titled.

Josh, there are a few custom builders in new york - great idea to reach out to one of them.
