so my rear brake pad fell out. no big deal. got it fixed. i go into work today to chat with a fellow biker about it only to find out he's in the hospital. rubber side down folks. thats the rule. somehow he forgot that and is laid up with a broken collar bone, broken ribs and a collapsed lung.
dont know much other than that other than he ended up in a ditch. dont know if he was on his HD or his dirt bike. no other details. cant get a hold of him or family but the word is he'll pull thru. he's a tough old bastard. just keep him in your prayers. his name is steve.
i'll update when i have news.
to every biker out there, be careful. bikers are the best people on the planet with truckers runnin a close second.
rubber side down folks.

Got to remember that - rubber side down, rubber side down, watch out for the ditches, don't ride a HD, and GA drivers are crazy in the head.

First experience when I moved here was two pickup trucks speeding in and out of traffic on the hwy throwing beer bottles at each other. Welcome to Georgia.

Prayers on the way.

I got ran ofF the road about a week ago on my Honda Shadow [come on Knockers I gotta ride it sometimes, keep the oil circulated and what not...] by a fat lady on a cell phone. Landed in a ditch with about a foot of water and 4 feet of mud underneath said water. All in all not that bad of wreck considering Thorthesis is recovering from a broken leg and now I've read about your friend. Hope he gets very well very soon. Heads Up 2 wheelers be careful out there.

i hope your friend heals up quick... have you gotten any more news on him?

i have had my taste of pavement... had a 65 mph highside... flung me off the bike and flew superman style for a ways then landed head first into the ground... slid for awhile then started to roll a few times... compressed some vertebrae in my neck and jacked my back up... tore some ligaments/tendons in my hand/thumb... took me awhile to recover but after fixing my bike up i made sure to get back on 2 wheels... once its in your blood its hard to not ride.
