Hey all,
I havnt ordered a Knock yet, but, as of now, I am planning on building one next summer. This will be my first motorcycle and because I am a college student and dont have a whole lot of money to throw around this seems like a perfect fit for me. Just to give some background on me, I love anything that has wheels, and engine and a manual transmission (i'm young but real old school). My daily driver is an '85 BMW that I bought for myself when I was 17 and I am constantly working on. The other project I have is my dad and I have been restoring a 1961 Austin Healey 3000 for the past few years. Anyways, I just wanted to introduce myself and maybe get to know some of you before I take the plunge because this forum seems to be a great place full of people willing to help. Hopefully I'll be part of the knock nation soon!

Welcome, I bought a 318 when I was 17 also. That car was really fun to drive but parts were a bitch to fins and costly$$$$. Just keep on reading all you can on the forum. Lots of good info if you use the search function.

All you new guys need to break and run!!! Have you no idea what your getting involved with? Before you know it you will be trolling this forum till the wee hours of the morning, buying up anything and everything that promotes the Knock Nation, packing up all the crap that you still care about and trecking to Las Vegas to meet some knuckle heads that you have never met before. Filming some silly assed video, simply to entertain those same knuckle heads that you still haven't even met. Staying up way past your normal bed time trying to get those damned handle bar grips off. (sure you could do it tomorrow, but you MUST finish it tonight). Asking opinions on paint schemes from people who probably have leather curtains in their living room. Making cd's of the music played on the videos that have been posted on youtube, so you can imagine yourself riding your Knock while driving in your car. Getting genuinely upset when you hear of someone bad mouthing someone or something on the forum. Searching for the exact definition of a "jerry springer" till you can't take it any longer and claw out your eyeballs with a #2 pencil. Standing outside of a "stop-n-rob" convienant store for 30 minutes talking about your bike, when you only stopped for a pack of smokes or a shot of gasoline. Arguing over RED-KOTE or KREEM when everybody knows RED-KOTE is better. Knowing who Brent Woods is and who's fault it was that he got lost at the OR. Knowing what the "OR" actually is for that matter. Or actually TRYING to get a speeding ticket of 85mph on your Knock so that you can post the proof on the forum to silence the haters.
I could go on, but do I really need to? Is this what you want, really?
To all the new guys and gals on the forum...do yourself a favor, Turn Back Now! Run away fast!!! You have been warned...
