thanks for all the welcomes! i have been reading through alot of the posts on here trying to find out as much info as i can...this place has soooo much good info... i am a little torn between the 250 v-twin and the single 200 though... i came across some posts talking about how the 200 has a better power to weight ratio... does anyone know if the 250 will have a higher top/cruising speed? i would like to ride it into work every once in a while, and the speed limit on the freeway is 70 and most cruise along at 75-80... i know the majority of the riding i will be doing will be around town to friends houses, to the gym, and around some of the local mountain roads or to a few local bars, so the speed wont be a problem there... another thing is the 250 looks like it comes with a chrome/silver engine,if thats the case i would have to paint it or powdercoat it black (how hard is this to do?) thanks again for all the replies everyone!

I think it will come down to gearing options myself, the 200 is great cause it's light and has great power. the 250 will have more torque but a little more weight. I would say stock the 250 will have a slight edge in top speed, after tuning who knows lol, the facts are either one can do what you want it to do with a little work.
If you go with the 250, and it comes silver, and you want it black, it can be done! It would be a little tough but worth it

haha no i really want the majority of the bike to be flat black... with red accents here and there... i have read a little bit about painting motorcycle engines online and it seems to either work or go terribly wrong and cause the engine to overheat or run hot all the time... seems like most people use harley davidson engine black wrinkle paint or this stuff http://www.vhtpaint.com/barrelpaint.html

i just hate the idea of spray painting a brand new engine ahhhhh decisions decisions!!! its drivin me crazy 200 or 250.... 200 or 250 over and over in my head hahaha....

Welcome and good luck with your decisions. They're going to be hard to make, but either way i'm sure you'll be pleased.
