Crystal Palace, London, UK here anxiously awaiting delivery of my first bike a 200cc flat black hardknock. Will be spending a week next month getting it built and on the road. I'll be on here lots to pick your brains, and any other UK bobbers with knowledge of registering in the UK would be greatly appreciated.

All you new guys need to break and run!!! Have you no idea what your getting involved with? Before you know it you will be trolling this forum till the wee hours of the morning, buying up anything and everything that promotes the Knock Nation, packing up all the crap that you still care about and trecking to Las Vegas to meet some knuckle heads that you have never met before. Filming some silly assed video, simply to entertain those same knuckle heads that you still haven't even met. Staying up way past your normal bed time trying to get those damned handle bar grips off. (sure you could do it tomorrow, but you MUST finish it tonight). Asking opinions on paint schemes from people who probably have leather curtains in their living room. Making cd's of the music played on the videos that have been posted on youtube, so you can imagine yourself riding your Knock while driving in your car. Getting genuinely upset when you hear of someone bad mouthing someone or something on the forum. Searching for the exact definition of a "jerry springer" till you can't take it any longer and claw out your eyeballs with a #2 pencil. Standing outside of a "stop-n-rob" convienant store for 30 minutes talking about your bike, when you only stopped for a pack of smokes or a shot of gasoline. Arguing over RED-KOTE or KREEM when everybody knows RED-KOTE is better. Knowing who Brent Woods is and who's fault it was that he got lost at the OR. Knowing what the "OR" actually is for that matter. Or actually TRYING to get a speeding ticket of 85mph on your Knock so that you can post the proof on the forum to silence the haters.
I could go on, but do I really need to? Is this what you want, really?
To all the new guys and gals on the forum...do yourself a favor, Turn Back Now! Run away fast!!! You have been warned...

I've been knocking around on my 5150 in Surrey since July/August.
You won't regret it mate :D

There's a few of us UK members with bikes now, maybe we should organise a meet up..

Hey Lewis...you're the guy I need to talk to then! I'm nervous about the registering part. How did you get on with it, is yours road legal? Is it MSVA?

A meet up sounds good. Would there be enough to bring Central London to a standstill?

...actually I just found Dunc261 posting about registering in UK. He mentions some mods he needed to pass MSVA and register his. Any advice available would be good. I noticed his mod-ed plate and rear light bracket, is that a legal requirement? Where can I find out what they'll test for before I take it for the test...sorry for so many questions, wish VOCA made the info easily available!!

I bought mine pre-registered from Workshopchops.co.uk..

As for the plate, I'm running an American sized Vertical plate on the left hand side - As you can see as I wheel it into the living room to work on it :D

I might have togive them a call before I take it to test. Or even Pete at Bone Rockin Bikes...I see him on here!!
Pete, if you're reading this keep some ape hangers aside for me, and a leather tool pouch...!
